6th Grade
Welcome to Middle School!
6th grade students have the following courses:
- ELAR (2 period block)
- Math
- Science
- World Cultures (Social Studies)
- 1 elective of their choosing
- P.E. or Pre-Athletics
6th grade students will have one of two lunches, A1 or A2.
Lunch is determined by their 4th period class/teacher.
Lunch cannot be changed in a student's schedule.
This transition can be difficult for some students but we are here to support!

It's never too early to start planning ahead! Your 3 years in middle school will fly by and before you know it you'll be in high school.
Take advantage of opportunities both in and out of the classroom to discover your interests and set yourself up for success in high school and beyond!

The 2024-2025 Course Selection process has started! Students were given their pink course selection sheets on Thursday, February 15th during their advisory class. Please complete the form with your student and return it by Friday, February 23rd. This is the only way to document the elective courses your student is interested in taking in 7th grade. Failure to return this form will result in their electives being selected for them. If you have any questions, you can contact the current 6th grade counselor, Mr. Hatcher, via email at steven.hatcher@cfisd.net.If your child was absent or did not receive the form, they can pick one up in the Counselor's Office (Room 102).
